Privacy policy

This policy explains how information is handled when you visit SolidCraft Guide or contact its maintainer. It covers this guide website, not the separate SolidCraft application or any linked service.

Who operates this website

SolidCraft Guide is independently operated by an individual maintainer using the publishing name “SolidCraft Guide”. Contact the maintainer at support@solidcraft.online for questions about this policy or your information. We are not the SolidCraft development team. More information is available about this guide.

Information handled when you visit or write to us

  • Website delivery and security. Hosting and infrastructure services may process network request information such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL and timestamp to deliver pages and protect the service.
  • Traffic measurement. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand visits, viewed pages, referring sources, device and browser characteristics, approximate location and interactions supported by its measurement settings. Cookies and pseudonymous identifiers may distinguish visits and sessions.
  • Messages you send. If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to include, so we can respond and investigate your request.

This guide has no user registration, payment checkout or CAD file-upload service. Do not put personal information or secrets in page URLs, query strings or messages that do not require them.

Your MCP configuration stays in the browser tool

The MCP generator builds JSON from your selected settings in browser memory. Copying uses your browser’s clipboard permission; downloading creates a file on your device. The generator does not upload the configuration to our server, connect to your local CLI, read your model files or log in to an AI account.

We do not add CLI paths, generated JSON or tokens to our analytics events. The site still loads Google Analytics for website traffic. If you subsequently apply a configuration in another application, that application’s data practices and any permissions you grant apply separately.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. GA4 commonly uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors and maintain session information. Google lists a default lifetime of two years; actual lifetimes depend on browser limits and Analytics settings. This is separate from the retention of Analytics records.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. Deleting cookies alone does not prevent new cookies on a later visit. This version of the site does not provide an on-site cookie preference panel. Reading this policy or continuing to browse does not constitute consent to optional tracking.

Learn more about GA4 cookies and how Google uses data from partner websites.

Google AdSense

This site loads the Google AdSense script to connect the website to AdSense and support site review. Loading it sends a request to Google and may involve processing network and browser information, such as an IP address, even if an ad is not displayed. Ad serving depends on Google’s approval and the advertising settings.

When ads are served, Google and other advertising vendors may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Advertising cookies may be used by Google and its partners to personalize ads based on visits to this and other websites.

You can manage Google personalized advertising in My Ad Center. Some other vendors provide opt-out choices through YourAdChoices. These choices do not disable Google Analytics and do not necessarily remove all advertising.

We will update this policy as advertising services and partners change. Before serving ads, we will provide the additional disclosures and consent controls required for the regions served.

Service providers and international processing

Hosting, analytics and email providers process the information needed to deliver their services. Google processes measurement data as described in its privacy policy and Analytics data safeguards. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to the relevant provider’s terms and applicable safeguards.

Linked documentation, GitHub, software downloads and AI providers are separate services. Their privacy policies govern your visits and use of those services.

Retention and security

We retain support correspondence only as needed to address a request, keep a necessary record of its resolution and meet applicable legal obligations. Analytics record retention is governed by the property’s retention settings; infrastructure records are subject to the relevant service’s retention rules. Cookie expiration is described separately above.

We limit the information requested for support and take reasonable precautions to protect it. No internet transmission or storage system can guarantee complete security. Do not email passwords, access tokens or confidential designs.

Your privacy requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or contact a relevant data protection authority. Write to support@solidcraft.online with your request. We may ask for limited information to confirm a request and locate the records concerned. We cannot identify every Analytics visit from an email address alone.

Children and policy updates

This is a general-audience CAD guide, not a service directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact support@solidcraft.online so we can review it.

We update this policy when our practices change and display the revision date on this page. Changes that require new consent will be handled through the applicable consent process.
